About us
We build the base, then hand you the keys.
Most small businesses end up with their information scattered across half a dozen tools that do not talk to each other. The accounting system does not know what the bank knows. Payroll is its own island. Somebody retypes the same numbers every month, and the picture of how the business is actually doing is always a few weeks out of date.
What we do
Kengele sets up a cloud account that belongs to you — your name on it, your bill, your control — and puts your business records and the applications that use them inside it. We connect the tools you already use so information moves between them instead of being typed twice. Then we run it: setup, monitoring, backups and support.
Why the account is yours
It would be easier for us to keep everything in one place and rent you a corner of it. We do not, for one reason: the moment your records live in somebody else's system, leaving becomes a negotiation. Your account is created under your own name from the start, and if you ever stop working with us, we remove our access and the account stays exactly where it is. There is nothing to migrate away from, because nothing of yours was ever somewhere else.
What we are not, yet
We are early. We are taking on a small number of businesses to begin with, so that each one gets more attention than a larger intake would allow. Some of the connections we intend to offer are still being built, and we would rather say that plainly here than discover it with you halfway through.
The name
Kengele is Swahili for a bell. A bell is how you call people together, and it is how you say something is ready. Our tagline is joining the dots, which is the honest description of the work: the pieces mostly exist already: they are just not connected.
